CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Our CSR policy is demonstrated by the Better Community Business Network (, a charity founded by the directors of Henley Homes to support a number of important causes across communities. Since its inception in 2011, BCBN has raised over £1.2m for community causes and attracted support from high profile figures including HRH The Prince of Wales, the Mayor of London and other supporters from across the political spectrum. QUALITY CONTROL AND AFTERCARE Our Aftercare team is embedded within the Construction teams who run each site. Their detailed knowledge of the root causes of historic defects directly informs our quality control processes, with the aim of minimising future defects. We know that there is a direct correlation between customer satisfaction and the cost of aftercare. So, our aftercare teams work closely with the project managers at each development to ensure that any recurring defects are designed out. Satisfying the requirements of those that purchase from us is of paramount importance, as this also protects and enhances the reputation of the organisation. EQUALITY AND DIVERSITY The Group operates an equal opportunities policy and prides itself on its high level of diversity, in terms of ethnicity, age and gender. Below is the summary of a diversity questionnaire answered recently by 64 colleagues within the Group. Our people • almost a third are women • are from 21 countries worldwide • are fluent in 23 languages • over two-thirds are multi-lingual • are aged between 20 and 62 years old 12|13
