Following on from the government’s announcement to move to the ‘delay’ phase of its plan to tackle COVID-19, we feel it is important to inform you of our business continuity plans.
The health and well-being of our teams is of paramount importance, and we want to thank every one of them for their calm fortitude in these interesting times. We are confident that the plans and procedures we have in place will minimise the impact on them and on our stakeholders.
For those of our teams who can work from home, the technology and support systems are ready. Many are already working from home, others will follow in the coming days. You should not experience any difference in our workflow in the short to medium term: direct dial numbers and emails will still reach us as normal. We would prefer documents to be emailed to us rather than posted, where at all possible. Meetings should be done via audio or video conferencing where possible.
Currently our construction and development sites are open and operating as normal. However, the COVID-19 outbreak is a rapidly changing situation from a public health perspective, and we will be liaising with all our supply chain members, clients, funders and joint venture partners as the situation progresses.
The safety of our residents is key and so, following guidelines from Public Health England (PHE), our Aftercare teams will only be attending urgent in-home appointments until further notice; routine maintenance visits will be deferred until social distancing protocols are relaxed.
We will continue to follow the guidance provided by PHE as it is updated in line with the changing situation.
